Buying and selling
Buying at auction
New to auctions? Let us guide you
Buying at Wye Valley couldn't be easier! First, you will need to register with our auction hosts; www.easyliveAuction.com . Its quick & easy! Then you can find our listing there & browse our next auction catalogue. You will need to sign-up your interest for each sale on a weekly basis...so that you only pay the Easy Live Auction fees for sales you wish to participate in. WVA buyers premium is 20% +VAT
Our working week goes like this.....
Monday, viewing from 9am til 430pm, BY APPOINTMENT. The the sale starts at 5pm ONLINE ONLY. After the sale, successful buyers will receive an invoice by email; payment is either bank transfer or cash when you collect; WE DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS.
Tuesday, collection day for successful buyers, again by appointment. We have around 100 buyers each week, so its a busy day for us. Appointments make it smoother & ensure that your items are ready for you to collect when you arrive; better for us, better for you. We need you to collect on Tuesday because...
Wednesday is the day we start to take items in for the following week. Again, its by appointment please....that way we can ensure that someone is free to deal with you promptly & efficiently when you arrive.
Thursday is much the same as Wednesday, although we ask that if you have larger items, you visit on a Wednesday as space fills quickly!
Friday we are closed for lotting, taking photographs & publishing the online catalogue at easliveauction.com
Selling at auction
A simple way to sell your items
If buying is easy, then selling is twice as simple! You can either bring your items to us or we can arrange collection by our staff in our liveried van for a small charge. After the auction, you will receive a report by email & payment is generally made by bank transfer. We dont charge you a fortune....only an admin charge per lot of £2 +VAT & 20% +VAT of the hammer price.
Funds from successful sales will be available to vendors 7-10 days after the auction, by BACS unless previously agreed with WVA; we do not issue cheques.
